I'm crap at Christmas shopping. I very nearly bought my wife a bargain pair of 36-inch boltcroppers yesterday because I was standing in the hardware shop and thought they would be handy if we ever broke or lost a bike lock key. However, a tiny voice inside told me that they might not be used for the design purpose if I wrapped them up and laid them lovingly under the tree.
