Title: flotsam (or is it jetsam?)
Post by: librarian on July 29, 2007
Well, flotsam is the stuff let floating when the ship goes down, and jetsam is what you throw overboard.

I know what you're thinking: "What's the difference?" - which is quite right if you're the one sifting through what's washed up ashore.

But if you're on the bit of balsa going down for the third time, the difference is quite material. I think.

But, whether you were thrown or left bobbing, welcome aboard. Now, do post. It's the equivalent of rowing, don'tcha know?
