Title: Georgics
Post by: librarian on January 18, 2008
Thrice they tried to pile Ossa on Pelion, yes, and roll up leafy Olympus upon Ossa; thrice the Father of Heaven split the mountains apart with his thunderbolt.

Virgil! the very man I was after.  Would you say that your fourth georgic interacts with the epic genre soley within the context of the Aristaeus myth? Or is the scene of the bees preparing for battle further evidence of epic influence on your work? I'm leaning towards the latter at the moment.

I'd appreciate a prompt reply as my essay is in for the end of the afternoon.
