Title: I've ruined my blood
Post by: librarian on June 22, 2007
Is distance riding bad for iron levels? I noticed that after this weekend's activities my iron levels seemed particularly low.

Its the centrifugal effect of pedalling. Since the iron is the heaviest part of your blood after an audax it ends up collecting in the ends of your toes depleting the rest of your blood stream.
