Well that was "interesting".About an hour and a half meandering backwards and forwards through the town, far better behaved than the London CM.About 50 people to start, gently tapering off to about 35-40, when all of a sudden we come across a police road block!! 3 cars completely blocking the road.The police then proceed to arrest half a dozen cyclists for the offence of "obstructing the highway" Oh the irony!!!I had a word with a policewoman which went like this:Me: Why are you arresting those people?Plod: because they are obstructing the highway!Me: Actually we're cycling, YOU are obstructing the highway!Plod: You're getting in the way of the trafficMe: We are traffic!Plod: you're holding up the cars!Me: and what gives them the right to the road over and above us cyclists?Plod <Turns back and walks away>Me: OI!!! I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!! No response!!
