The cycle path debate rumbles on

All in all, a bit of a waste of time and resources.

The Guardian AND cycle paths summed up in one sentence!!  Well done!  ;)

I went for a bike ride and found some cycle lanes today. I wasn't very impressed.

They were on-pavement cycle paths, linking Hildenborough with Tonbridge. I say "linking" in the same sense in the same way that all the planets in the solar system are linked together by hydrogen atoms: there was a random smattering of red tarmac at points on one side of the road or another, and a "give way" or "cycle path ends" sign every few yards....
