There seems to be no talk of reciprocity here. The idea that helpers might actually like helping, and that it might be part of our role to graciously accept that help and appreciate the spirit in which it is offered. I find it very flattering that so many people want to help me to acheive what is ultimately a selfish goal. I shall be as polite as possible and try to make it clear that I am grateful for all aid offered. The help I have received in the past PBPs are the best part of the ride in my memory. Admitting you need help opens you up to some really good experiences.
