Yes, NACA still occupies a corner in the loft (some newcomer has scribbled NCAP on the boxes). I clicked into a thread today for the first time since getting kicked out last year. Appropriately enough, it was Ārseholes – started by someone who was angry at being censored on the main site, then went on to complain about me having my say in their little free speech zone.

Anyway, I saw that tweet and thought of winjim, so let myself fall in.

So they've deleted my post bringing incidents of misgendering to their attention and asking people to use non gendered terms if they can't bring themselves to use the correct gender, but left the actual misgendering posts intact. It's kind of incidental to the thread so I don't want to make too much of a fuss and derail it, that would be out of order.

So now I have to go through the thread and report each one individually. I also called out some racism the other week and the poster doubled down, although I cba reporting that.

I fundamentally disagree with his weaponising of The Gender Debate, and I've got no way of telling whether he actually hold the views he espouses, but I find his posts more entertaining and thought provoking than a good deal of the current forum content.

It's difficult to dislike someone who compliments you. Goddamn human nature. Makes me cross that I can't be 100% cross for the framing of my posts as "weaponising", not to mention previous high crimes and misdemeanors.

It is a boring waste of time to have to keep stating the bleeding obvious. Nonetheless, many of us have felt compelled to keep doing so because these nonsense arguments are being used to justify real harms, not just to female athletes, but to gender-confused children, lesbians, rape survivors. I kind of agree with you here, having been vaguely entertained by a few of his posts. But then I remember his weirdo stalkery website and it all just feels a bit uncomfortable.

...everyone has their own levels of what is offensive and it probably has a lot to do with who is saying it. I loved and respected Les Dawson so I find all his MIL jokes funny. If I hated Les Dawson like I do Frankie Boyle then I would probably have taken offfense at those same jokes.

Likewise, if my son had Down's Syndrome, I would probably hate every comedian who made a joke about DS. But because no-one I know has it, and I've not felt 1st had what it's like to be teased about it, then it doesn't affect me.

We need to remember that this ludicrous position arose due to the underhand, stealthy behaviour of a cohort of interested parties [my link] - people with various agendas who have infiltrated political parties, unions, the civil service, the education system, the media etc. And how do you think they will react to this judgment? Even before the dust has settled, they will be working to keep their ideology on track, and I doubt that they will allow the Supreme Court to derail their goals. How will they circumvent this ruling? By using Parliament to pass amending law?

How many of us were caught napping or fell into line with the be kind mantra. This fight is far from over.
