What's up, Doc?

Tier 4 was an early Christmas present, at least from the point of view of someone needing to go to the city yet advised to steer clear of humanity.

Not an allegory that I’m aware of

There was plenty of room at the inn.

The gift that keeps on giving

Don't sit under the lollipop tree with anyone else but me

My accommodations the next day were strictly functional.

A Teasmade unlike any I'd seen before.

My roommate, on life support.

Happy to share.

I was thoroughly scrutinised. Those aren't my shoes.

The highly trained technician took care not to set me on tumble dry.

a. Truly madly deeply and without surcease

I'll get back to you on that

Business concluded, there was enough time for a leisurely ride through cheery London.

Thanks for the memories.

If this isn't a clear sign that Christmas is cancelled, I don't know what is.

"Omicron is spreading so quickly that, I think, unless you are living the life of a hermit, you are very likely to come across it in the next few weeks."  - Eleanor Riley

Previously unnoticed detail of COVID Sisyphus by Robin Garrell

We're already living the hermit life, or near enough.

Wellies: check   Haven't gone full goat though

It helps that given our way of life (no kids, pubs, or need to commute) we've had fewer necessary alterations than most. My membership in the Velosolo Club goes a long way towards making it bearable. Chompsky also has great medicinal value.

Almost a year ago I was headed into locked down London for tests. At the time I had convinced myself it was something bad. Fortunately the new year was to bring relief on that score.

It's unclear just how immunocompromised I am. Not terribly, I reckon, but enough to make me wonder if my three jabs are truly up to the job.

2022 promises to be another stretch without museums or trips to the homeland. It's a different kind of long covid.
