Returning to school after a self described "10-year kegger in the woods," Bill holds a B.A. in English from the State University of New York at Albany and is the recipient of numerous awards and citations, including the Leah Lovenheim Award for Short Fiction, McIlwaine Award for Poetry and the Phyllis Hurd Liston Award for Poetry at the American Academy of Poets.
From time to time you can read Bill's work in the renowned Dirt Rag Magazine, where his contributions are based primarily on the aesthetics, mechanics and experiences of his local cycling community. Articles include on-location race reports, non-fiction cycling essays and short works of fiction. A permanent, middle-of-the-pack sport class racer, Bill is a member of NORBA, IMBA and his local group, the Mohawk Hudson Cycling Club (MHCC). At this time he owns five bikes, a personal computer and a microwave. Donations are welcome.
A drummer since age 12, Bill formerly toured and recorded with Moon Ska recording artists Can't Say and numerous other regional and national acts. He still plays, but it's strictly genteel, dammit.
